The treatment
What happens during an initial appointment?
During the first appointment, the physician discusses your complaints and medical history. This is followed by a physical examination to determine which treatment is appropriate.
How many treatments do I need?
This varies per person. Some patients notice rapid improvement, while others require multiple treatments.
Is a treatment painful?
The treatments are not painful. Sometimes a procedure can be sensitive, or you may experience slight after-pain afterward.
Will my back be 'cracked'?
Clicking sounds can sometimes occur during a treatment. The goal is not ‘cracking’, but improving alignment and mobility.
Is a correction safe?
Yes, a correction is only performed if it is deemed responsible after examination. The physician always considers your complaints, history, and any potential risks.

When will I notice results?

Sickesz method
What is orthomanual medicine?
Orthomanual medicine is a medical treatment method for complaints of the joints, spine, and pelvis. The physician examines and, where necessary, corrects deviations in alignment and mobility.
How does the Sickesz method work?
With the Sickesz method, the physician examines whether joints are not optimally aligned or moving. Targeted corrections are used to attempt to restore natural alignment and function.
What is the difference between orthomanual medicine and chiropractic?
Both focus on the musculoskeletal system, but the background and methodology differ. Orthomanual medicine is performed by a physician and always begins with a medical assessment.
What is the difference between orthomanual medicine and orthopedics?

Rehabilitation is aimed at recovery after surgery, injury, or illness. Musculoskeletal therapy focuses on identifying and treating the cause of musculoskeletal complaints.
Which complaints does orthomanual medicine help with?
Orthomanual medicine can be applied to back pain, neck pain, headaches, pelvic complaints, and joint complaints, among others. The physician determines after examination whether the method is suitable.
When is orthomanual medicine useful?
This treatment can be useful when complaints keep recurring or may be related to alignment or mobility deviations. An initial consultation provides clarity.
Can orthomanual medicine be performed during pregnancy?
That depends on the complaints and the stage of the pregnancy. The physician carefully assesses whether treatment is possible and responsible.
