Frequently asked questions
On this page, we answer frequently asked questions about MSK Centrum.
What can I expect from an initial appointment?
During the first appointment, we take the time to discuss your symptoms and medical history. We then examine the spine, vertebra by vertebra, to assess where the body has become unbalanced. Based on this examination, we determine whether treatment according to the Sickesz Method is appropriate and useful. If it is not, we will be honest about that.
Who is an appointment at MSK Centrum suitable for?
Most people who come to MSK Centrum have had symptoms for a long time and have often tried multiple treatments. Symptoms may keep returning, shift, or be difficult to explain. In these situations especially, it can be useful to look at the cause of symptoms differently.
What about reimbursement for the treatment?
In many cases, a treatment is (partially) reimbursed from supplementary insurance. This varies by health insurer and policy. We advise you to check with your own health insurer beforehand to see if and to what extent the treatment is reimbursed.
How much does a treatment cost?
An initial consultation lasts approximately 30 to 45 minutes and costs €95. A follow-up consultation lasts approximately 20 to 30 minutes and costs €95. You can pay in cash or by card.
Is a referral necessary for an appointment?
No, a referral from a GP or specialist is not required for an appointment at MSK Centrum.
What does the treatment look like?
Treatment according to the Sickesz Method is controlled and subtle. There is no forceful cracking or manipulation. Using special cushions and light, targeted corrections, we work on restoring the alignment of the spine and pelvis.
What is a typical course of treatment?
This varies per person and per symptom. Many people notice a clear difference after just a few treatments. A standard treatment plan is not pre-determined. We continuously assess what is necessary and useful at that moment.
Do I need a referral letter?
No referral letter is required for the treatment. If you have been referred by your GP, specialist, or therapist, the referrer will receive a report on the treatment at the end of the treatment process.
